A co-worker conducted a strawberry storage experiment, to see how to keep them best—in the fridge, or out of the fridge covered in a tea towel.
Results:
- Strawberries on plate covered in towel: significant mould growth and squishiness.
- Strawberries in fridge: no visible mould growth and moderate squishiness.
Thanks, Rachel. I shall continue to refrigerate my strawberries.
put them in a ziplock bag in the fridge or freeze them (you can make smoothies/muffins/snack on them).
