Ice-cream theory.
Some ice-creams are wonderful by themselves, because they are so gourmet and interesting. And the best ice-cream to go with a dessert or something is plain vanilla. But then you have leftover boring ice-cream. My tip is, buy a vanilla based ice-cream but not vanilla, such as cookies and cream, or some kind of raspberry swirl or something. So mostly vanilla, so it will go with a piece of chocolate cake, but interesting enough to eat on its own.

Unless it's Blue Ribbon vanilla ice-cream, in which case it's soooo good on its own!
ReplyDeleteI don't know, I don't think vanilla, even when really good, is interesting enough to eat solo. Are you sure? Or are you putting hot fudge on it?
ReplyDeleteNope. I love Blue Ribbon vanilla on its own. It's made with buttermilk!
ReplyDeleteYou truly appreciate vanilla!
ReplyDeletenope. got to disagree on this one. buy vanilla. it goes best with special desserts. you can always funk the left over vanilla up by adding things to it - your own cookies to make home made cookies n cream, grated chocolate, chocolate fudge sauce.
ReplyDeleteI used to think vanilla was boring and not a flavour, but not anymore. A good vanilla ice cream is very good :)
ReplyDeleteBoysenberries swirls are great too.
Perhaps people who like vanilla ice cream are also people who like plain chips the best (i.e. the lightly salted "flavour"). I do!
ReplyDeleteHey, I like the chips theory. I like good plain chips too!
