Why we are all single, or, What boys don't really like.

Warren once asked me if everyone who came to KESC was a girl, and I said yes. Except once, which was a boyfriend dragged along. So KESC is 95% girls (I didn't do any maths to find that percentage, it just means that KESC is nearly all girls).

Either the fear of the Single Girl Ghetto is frightening men away, OR, it's just not true that the way to a man's heart is through his stomach. Food is definitely the way to a girl's heart. "Food is the food of love", or "Love of food is the food of love" if you like a chiasm.

  2. I think we're all single because a) we're mostly all Christian b) there are less men than women in Christian circles c) single people have more time to hang out with others because they aren't hanging out with their partner d) single people have more inclination to want to go e) or just coincidence...

  3. Why we are all single:

    a) Fear of the Single Girl Ghetto keeping men away,

    b) The assumption that you can attract men with food is wrong. It only attracts women.

  4. that is assuming that you are using the correct food and timing to attract men.
to use the age-old metaphor of fishing, quite clearly, if i were to go fishing using a brussel sprout it is highly unlikely that i would ever catch a fish. if, however, i used some prawn and some burly at the mouth of a river just as the tide is changing, i'm sure to catch a fish, even if it is just a puffer fish.

  5. So perhaps the fact that some of the food at KESC is not at all delicious (Erica Indonesian, I'm talking about you) or enjoyable (Birthday parties at GPK, take note) is counting against us? Men are fussy eaters?

  6. Nah, I tried to invite some guys once, and they were hurt because they were never invited along, or officially invited. There was also fear of being the only guy.
