...is when you go to a sushi restaurant and find out its Korean-run, not Japanese.
(No offence to Koreans. I prefer Koreans to cook my Korean food, and the Japanese to cook my Japanese food.)

About odd earrings.
Whenever I pick through my earrings to find a matching pair for the day, I have to avoid all the odd unpaired earrings. I want to get rid of them, but they're pretty, so the urge to find a use for them always overrides the urge to declutter. The tension is getting unbearable, so that I hardly ever wear earrings any more. Odd earrings are controlling my life!!! or at least, my brain and my ear lobes.

You know your tastes are maturing...
...when you find ABC TV exciting! And it is. And it has been for a while. They plugged 3 Acts of Murder tonight. Looks well-shot and intriguing.

$7 Tuesdays at the Ritz: Review—Angels and Demons
Haven't read it, or seen The DV Code. I give it 5 out of 10. It's a bit "Oooh, driving a car", "Aaah, the angel is pointing over there". It clumps predictably but not insensitively through the Science v God debate. But it has Ewan McGregor, he's alright. And Robert Langdon says this: "Faith is a gift I am yet to receive." Which was probably an ironic accident rather than a knowing Ephesians reference. But fancy an Atheist saying that to a Catholic in a silly Hollywood movie.
So if you aren't into Sci-Fi prequels or movies featuring Nazis or the Frat Pack, it might be worth $7. Especially if NCIS is only a repeat.

You know you've got teeth on the brain...
…when you watch “Aliens: Resurrection” and when the aliens appear, the first thing you think is, “Do they aliens have straight teeth? How come they have straight teeth?”

When food looks like caramel but tastes like coffee
When choc-chips are actually raisins
When white choc-chips are actually macadamia (thanks G)
When it looks like a Timtam but it's not
